A record 18 people took part in the Montrose New Year Dook on a glorious sunny day, with a good number of cheering spectators. Participants even included a family visiting from Perth, Australia. Although there was no formal sponsorship, a bucket for donations to Montrose Maternity Unit was found to contain £250, with more to come. The dip was founded by Scott O’Hara and Pedro Cabrelli on January 1, 2008.
