Appeal for help with fund-raising
LOCAL animal lovers are being asked to support a major fund-raising appeal for the Scottish SPCA.
The charity is appealing for help to care for the thousands of abandoned, abused and injured animals it deals with ever year during a public bucket collection next month.
It has been organised to coincide with Scottish Animal Week, which runs from Monday, September 3 to Saturday, September 9 and will run throughout Angus and the Mearns.
Mike Flynn, Scottish SPCA chief superintendent, said the charity’s animal rescue and rehoming centres cared for 13,437 animals last year and this years is proving to be just as challenging.
