STAFF from the Hydro Electric shop in Montrose are offering their help to the community as part of their company’s ‘Community at Heart’ scheme.

The three are all keen to give a helping hand to community projects by being volunteers to work for a day to help make a difference.

Shop manager Carrie Milne, and colleagues Kellie Gorman and Mairi Duthie are looking for projects that they can turn their hands to.

Carrie explained: “The project is very simple. You provide the materials - we provide the hands! You can ask a team of our employees to work with you for a whole day. From crushing boxes to crunching numbers – as long as it makes a difference to what you’re trying to achieve, then we’re willing to help!”

The scheme supports initiatives within the communities where the employees live and work, giving staff the opportunity to make a difference to things they are passionate about outside of work, including charities, schools, parish councils and hospitals.

Volunteers come in the form of the shop workers themselves but if required more volunteers can get involved, from meter readers to engineers.

If you have a project you would like help with, submit a request on the www.hydro.co.uk/AboutUs/CommunityAtHeart
