Full house at town’s Business Centre

Montrose Business Centre, located at Broomfield Industrial Estate, has celebrated its 10th anniversary.

Angus Council opened the £300,000 centre a decade ago to provide 12 mixed use and sized units for start-up and growing businesses.

From the day the centre opened its doors on September 27, 2002, interest in the units has been strong.

Councillor Mairi Evans, Angus Council’s economic development spokesperson, said: “I am delighted to see that the centre has met the needs of the local business community, and played a part in the development of many local and national companies.

“After an impressive first decade we are looking forward to continuing to provide flexible and affordable business accommodation for Montrose, and the wider area.”

The business centre is currently occupied by AB Audio Systems, Loch Duart Ltd, Art ‘n’ Frames, Watt the Butcher Ltd, Anderson Fire, Red Quartet Ltd, Scottish Export Packing Services and Biarchi Safety Ltd. It is currently home to around 20 employees.

Although Montrose Business Centre does not currently have any vacancies, its sister business centres in Arbroath and Brechin do have available office space. Contact Wilma Gordon, Angus Council, on 01307 473284, for more details.
