Make the most of autumn festivals

A WORKSHOP will be held at Glamis Castle at the end of this month to help businesses get the most out of this year’s autumn festivals in the county.

The four festivals, Angus Heritage Festival, A Taste of Angus Festival, Angus Autumn Adventures outdoor festival and the Angus Autumn Golf Festival will take place in September and October.

Aimed particularly at accommodation providers, restaurants and cafes, the workshop on Thursday, February 28 will outline details of each of the festivals and give local businesses some ideas about how they can benefit, as well as highlight opportunities for them to get involved and attract more visitors.

Councillor Mairi Evans, Angus Council’s business spokeswoman, said: “The purpose of these four festivals is to extend the season and attract additional visitors to Angus, highlighting the breadth of visitor experience this area offers. Our local businesses play a key role in making that experience one to remember.”

Attendees will hear from organisations and businesses that have already benefited from working with local festivals, their pitfalls as well as their successes. Anyone interested in attending can register online at www.angusahead.com/AutumnFestReg.
