MONTROSE Roselea co-manager Dougie Craig wants his side to go through their entire league season unbeaten.
Speaking after Roselea wrapped up the East Region North League title with a 5-0 win away to third-placed Violet, Craig, co-manager with Ralph Brand, said there is no way the side will take their foot off the gas in their final two games.
"We've
won the league, but we want to go the whole league season unbeaten, so it gives us something to aim for.
"Winning the league has been a great achievement and the boys have done very well.
"I'd like to think with our experience we have brought more professionalism to the club. We have brought in experienced players like Steve Kerrigan, Colin Kennedy and Ewan Graham and they have made a difference."
Roselea have operated with a squad of 20/21 this season and Dougie says their attitude has been first class.
"The whole squad turns up every week and to every training session, so they deserve their success."
The co-manager says Roselea will go into the Premier League next season determined to make a challenge, not simply to survive.
"We will have more or less the same squad for next season, although we have been looking at a couple of players we would like to add."
Roselea will finish their season on Tuesday, an earlier finish than previous campaigns, despite their recent rush of fixtures. They will be back in training in July in time for the new season in August.
"We had a great run in the Scottish Cup, reaching the fifth round and that is why we had such a backlog of league games. Winning the league was always our priority and we have achieved our target."
