Search for talented performers

YOUTH Music Theatre UK (YMT) has launched a nationwide search for the best actors, singers, dancers, musicians and back stage crew to join their company in 2013.

Aspiring young performers aged 11 to 21 can book their place for YMT’s 2013 workshop and audition tour, which will visit Aberdeen on Saturday, January 26, online at www.youthmusictheatreuk.org.

Those who are successful will go on to work with some of the UK’s leading professional directors, composers and choreographers to stage full-scale productions.

Auditions take the form of a two-and-a-half hour session of dance, drama and singing workshops led by a professional director, choreographer and musical director. Around 250 young people from across the country will be selected and everyone will be notified before the end of March.

Auditions will be held in St Mark’s Church hall, Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen, at 9.30am, 12.15pm and 3.45pm and details are available at www.youthmusictheatreuk.org.
