Elle Donald, a pupil at Noreen-Marie Geddes School of Dancing, had a very successful season last year in the premier category.

This was her first season in premier which is the top section in highland dancing competitions.

She placed very well in competitions that she attended near and far but her greatest achievement was winning her pre-championships.

Elle won her National Pre-Championship title at the Tayside Championships held in Montrose.

This was her first attempt at a Pre-Championship, she won her national section by picking up three gold medals and one silver, Elle was close to winning her highland section with one gold and three silver.

Three months later she went on to win her Highland Pre-Championship Title at the Royal Borough of Forfar Championships.

This was her second attempt at her highland pre-championship, she won her section by picking up two gold medals and two bronze.

Her teacher, Noreen-Marie, said “Winning your pre-championship is what every highland dancer aspires to accomplish, what a wonderful achievement by Elle.

“She is my first pupil to win a pre-championship so it’s a very proud moment for both teacher and pupil; she works very hard in class and is very determined to succeed in her dancing.

“I wish her all the best for future championships”.
