BARNARDO’S have asked the people of Montrose for urgent help in a bid to fill the rails and shelves of the shop here in town.
The ‘Stock Our Stores’ appeal launches on Saturday, April 2, with a request to local people to trawl through their wardrobes and donate quality unworn or unwanted clothes, books, DVDs and bric-a-brac.
Barnardo’s is asking every household in Angus and Dundee to donate at least one bag of unwanted, good quality clothing or household goods to their local store.
Viv Miller, area business manager, said: “Each bag that is kindly donated to us generates an average of £15.
“We’re in desperate need of more stock so we can raise more money to carry on the life changing work with children and young people in the local area.”
All money raised in the Montrose store will be used to help disadvantaged and vulnerable children in the local area.
You can find the Barnardo’s store in Montrose on the High Street.
