A HILLSIDE youngster is burning a lot of successful rubber in the world of junior motocross.
Already, Ciara Robertson (7), of Woodside of Hedderwick, has collected numerous trophies and she can be regularly seen finishing in podium positions in the North East Area Motocross Championships.

Now, she's been selected to represent Scotland at next month's Girls' National Championships at Foxhills Racetrack in Southampton, an event which attracts competitors from around the globe.

Impressively, Ciara, a pupil at Rosemount Primary School, will be one of the youngest in the her age category as the majority of those entered are nine years' old. She'll be using a 50cc bike and travelling at speeds of up to 50mph.

Ciara started riding bikes when she was five, inspired by her father Alistair's passion for motorsport and his abilities as a motorcyclist.

Her talents are such that she's already attracted sponsorship from Deeside Timerframe, Keyline, George Street Barbers and RK Services, but with fuel costs on the rise and competition meets littered around the UK, the family are still keen to secure more sponsorship for Ciara.

Anyone interested in helping Ciara should contact father Alistair on 01674 832833.
