First jacks thrown at bowling greens

THE local bowling greens have all opened for the season, with a series of "first jack" ceremonies taking place.

At Hillside, the first jack was thrown by Amy Ruxton.

At Inch BC, Ladies President Arlene Rushmere did the honours.

At the Melville Bowling Club, the first jack was thrown by Ladies champion Wilma Murphy.
