A LOCAL youth group are aiming to deliver a Christmas treat to the impoverished in Eastern Europe though a shoe-box appeal.
Montrose Interact Group (a youth group of Rotary) gives young people an opportunity to develop leadership skills through meaningful service projects.

The International Service Project is this year's shoe box appeal, and the target is to fill 200 boxes in time for Christmas delivery to Eastern European countries.

Interactors visited Montrose primaries and talked to pupils at their assemblies to encourage a partnership effort to achieve this target. So far 135 boxes are on their way.
