Under-18s will be able to join in Status Quo fever when the band rock all over Montrose next month as an extra 300 tickets have gone on sale.

The Montrose Music Festival (MoFest) team has been granted a licence allowing under 18s, but no younger than 13, to attend the concert when accompanied by an adult and have launched 300 more tickets, which are available online.

The event also has a full alcohol licence, after Angus Licensing Board members approved public bars for the Quo concert, which will be set up especially for the event.

Festival chairman David Paton said: “We’ve been working hard with the concert promoters to make as many tickets available to fans as possible, and are delighted to be in a position to release a further 300 tickets for Status Quo.

“From past experience, we expect tickets to sell fast, which is testament to Status Quo and its reputation as one of the best UK rock bands of all time.”

Status Quo will take to the stage at Montrose East Links on Friday, May 23, with gates opening from 6 p.m. This is the only ticketed event of MoFest 2014.
