A GROUP of Montrose students studying at Angus College have presented a cheque for £509.63 to CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargent aim to help families in the UK who have a child with cancer. It is the only organisation that offers all round care and support by being there every step of the way.
During treatment the charity will provide specialist nurses, play specialists and homes from home.
They also offer specialist social care and support in the community and services for young people including holidays, grants and a helpline for when they need someone.
After treatment the charity will continue to help those who have survived and to support the bereaved.
The group raised the money at a Christmas party they organised at Coast nightclub in Arbroath last year.
They have extended their thanks to everyone who bought tickets, raffles and tombolas on the night and those who kindly donated prizes for the event.
