TWO FUND-RAISING events have collected more than £800 for Ronald McDonald House at Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.
A raffle, tombola and cake and candy stall were run at Sunnyside Hospital’s fete and a car boot sale in Dubton Park, Hillside, the following day realised £870.
Both events were organised by local man Edward Smith who decided to raise funds for the unit as his grand-daughter received heart surgery there when she was four months old.
His next event will be a sponsored walk in Camperdown Park, Dundee. Anyone wishing to make a donation can do so by contacting him on Montrose 672643.
Mr Smith said: “I’d like to thank Alistair Morgan from Dun who provided a garden bench, the top prize in the raffle, and everyone who helped and supported the events.”
