EIGHT competitors from Montrose Academy took part in the Scottish Schools athletics event held at Grangemouth and returned with the best haul of medals the school has ever achieved.
The results were: Group D Girls: Skye Petrie – gold in pole vault and javelin, silver in discus; Danielle Webster – 5th in shot putt, 7th in discus.
Group C Girls: Debbie Brand - 5th in javelin, 4th in shot putt, 10th in discus.
Group B Girls: Sophie Milne – silver in pole vault; Dee Welsh – bronze in pole vault.
Group C Boys: Donovan Webster = gold in shot putt and discus; Damien Murray – gold in javelin, bronze in discus.
Group A Boys: Gregor MacLean – gold in pole vault, silver in javelin.
Montrose Academy congratulated all the competitors and said they were a credit to themselves, the school and their coaches.
