The community council's stance up until now has been neutral but eight objections have now been lodged with the community council secretary by letter and email - all against the development.
The reasons given for opposition to the multi-million pounds scheme, which would see three 400ft high turbines erected at Mountboy Farm close to Rossie Moor,centred on the structures' visual impact on the area, the efficiency of wind power as a means of generating power, the potential environmental impact, a potential effect on property values and an impact on local wildlife.
It was also questioned again why a recent public exhibition about the scheme was held in Inverkeilor instead of Ferryden itself when a public meeting, organised for last year, was held within the village.
The developers say the £7.5million investment will bring over £1million worth of work to the area for local contractors and generate enough power to supply between 3400 and 4200 households. As part of the package it is also intended to set up a fund with income from the project to support community activities.
They also pointed out that the closest property to the site is Rossie School which would be more than 800 metres away.
