THE voluntary committee behind Montrose Music Festival has issued an appeal after two of its banners went missing.
The 20ftx3ft banners, valued at £300, were taken from the Rossie Island roundabout and the Brechin Road roundabout, sometime between June 7 and June 10.
A spokesperson for the committee said: "We're not sure if the banners have been stolen or if
someone has just taken them in for us, but it would be a bit sickening if someone has pinched them.
"We don't get paid for what we do and the banners were as a result of a kind donation. Stealing them would be the lowest of the low."
If you know where the banners are or have information as to their whereabouts, email enquiries@montrosemusicfestival.co.uk or phone 07925 136548.
Meanwhile, the committee have announced the winners of the 2009 raffle, which raised over £2,000 towards next year's event.
A spokesperson said: "Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket for our raffle. It was a tremendous success and raised around £2,200, all of which will go towards Montrose Music Festival 2010."
