AT the County meeting of Girlguiding angus, Mary Ramsay from Montrose was presented with one of Girlguiding UK's highest awards, the Laurel Award.
The award in the form of a silver broach was accompanied by a letter from London HQ congratulating Mary on gaining the Laurel and was signed by Liz Burnley, the Chief Guide.
Mary has done many jobs within Guiding, both in Edinburgh and and for the past 20 years in Angus.
She ran the 3rd Montrose Guides until her retirement last year.
