A right royal drop-in day

YOU CAN celebrate the Diamond Jubilee with all things Royal at Angus Archives ‘Drop In Day Tea Party’.

On Friday (June 1), Angus Archives will host a tea party to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Explore material from across the archive’s collections reflecting on all things royal, from medieval royal seals and a splendid Mary, Queen of Scots charter, to a delightful photograph of a very young future Queen Elizabeth, coupled with artist William Lamb’s first-hand account of playing tea parties with the future monarch.

You can explore how Angus schoolchildren celebrated the Coronation and flip through the Arbroath Herald Souvenir Coronation edition.

If you have not visited Angus Archive before, this an excellent opportunity to come along and discover the heritage resources held for the whole of Angus.

Tea and coffee will be available in the Archives’ best china during the day between 10am and 4pm.
