Action has been taken against dog fouling in the Borrowfield area of Montrose with the erection of a new bin.

Councillor David May got onto Angus Council to put up a new bin to encourage dog owners to pick up after their pets after he received complaints.

Mr May said “I was asked to get a new dog bin at the Baillie Norrie Crescent end of the path, which starts at the Borrowfield Community Centre due to the mess.

“I am delighted that the council have been able to get a new dog bin in place soon after the request from me.

“There is no excuse now for dog owners leaving dog mess in that area now.”
