Agony and ecstasy

MIKE Daisey’s hilarious and harrowing monologue The Agony and Ecstasy of Steve Jobs will be performed at the Gardyne Theatre, Dundee on Thursday, April 18 at 7.30 p.m.

Starring Grant O’Rourke, this is an emboldened, passionate diatribe that questions what you thought you knew about one of the world’s most worshipped brands. The audience meets Steve Jobs and the Chinese workers toiling to make iPhones. Daisey explores the legality and morality of electronic sweatshops in China, complete with armed guards, underage workers and tales of the toxic effects of hexane in these factories. This is one of the most talked about pieces of theatre to come out of the U.S. recently and has not been without controversy. Tickets from 01382 434 940 or
