Angus Glens Festival includes the coast!

The Angus Glens Walking Festival, sponsored by Peel Farm, takes place from June 4 to 7. With 24 walks over four days, this is an ideal opportunity to spend some time in the great outdoors, with walks to suit all abilities.

The majority of walks this year take place in the stunning surroundings of the Angus Glens, but the Coastal Crawl walk remains a favourite of walkers. Starting at Mains of Usan, overlooking the dramatic scenery of Lunan Bay, this walk ends at the Scottish Wildlife Trust centre at Montrose Basin and offers excellent wildlife spotting opportunities.

Chair of the Angus Glens Walking Festival, Tom McGrath, said: “There is such an amazing variety of walks with new walks included every year to keep the programme fresh and interesting.

“For those looking for something more challenging, some of the extremely strenuous walks are back, such as Monega Hill and Glas Maol. This walk starts in Glen Isla and takes in Glas Maol, the highest point in Angus at 1068m, before returning to Glen Isla via Little Glas Maol and Glen Brighty.

“Further details of all of the walks are available on our website.”
