Angus to celebrate Armed Forces

A FLAG-raising ceremony will be held in Forfar at 10.30am on Monday, June 25, to celebrate the lead-up to the annual National Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 30.

The ceremony, to be held at Town and County Hall, Forfar, will link with similar events throughout the country.

A group of between 30 and 40 members of the armed services and cadets will muster at the Buttermarket and parade in front of Town and County Hall.

The Armed Forces Day flag will fly above Town and County hall in place of the Saltire, until after June 30.
