Montrose Rotary Club has donated over £3,000 as part of its annual programme of support for local, national and international charities.
The most recent gifts concentrated on community groups. And at last week’s meeting club president John Paton handed cheques to the latest recipients, from left - Anne Wallace (Sailing Club) £200; Neil Werninck (Air Station Heritage Centre Spitfire Project) £250; Graeme Clark (Town Band) £200; Arlene Dickson (Sailing Club), Val Cooper (Young Montrose YM Garden) £200; Hamish Watt (Scottish Society for Autism) £200; Hester Howie (Dorward House) £500; Nichola Wilkie (Ferryden Playgroup) £200; Montrose Rotary president, John Paton, Ashley Miller, (Ferryden Playgroup) and Jordan Dickson (Sailing Club). In addition, the Day Care Centre has received £200, the Links Trust £500 and Montrose Academy prize-giving (£200). A further £500 has been given to the Shelterbox appeal.
