Art 309 exhibit at Whitehills centre

MEMBERS of the Angus community are invited to Whitehills Health and Community Care Centre in Forfar which is showcasing a new exhibition by twelve artists from ART 309 over the festive period.

The art group ART 309 is made up of artists mainly based in Tayside and has members from Angus, Dundee, Perth & Kinross and Fife.

The group met when they were all studying Fine Art at Dundee College. The artists spent a great deal of time working in Studio 309 and decided to use this as the inspiration for their group’s name.

On display at the centre are 31 art pieces featuring water colours and oil paintings of landscapes and delicate still life images.

Exhibitions at the centre are changed regularly every eight weeks with exhibitors donating 20% commission on all sales to the Whitehills Arts & Environment Fund.

All money raised is used to enhance the Whitehills environment for patients, staff and visitors.
