The Plough Inn in Forfar will host a charity band night next Friday, March 7, to raise funds for the Love, Support Unite Africa Foundation.
Local performer Nicky Johntson will kick start the night covering some rock and indie favourites.
He will be followed by Dundee-based band Independence who will continue the night with some more classic tunes from the likes of Queen, The Rolling Stones and The Killers.
This popular band have been crowd-pleasers at events such as Montrose and Forfar music festivals and the Dundee Blues Bonanza. The programme starts at 8 p.m. and a great night is sure to be had by all. All money raised will go to support the charity Love, Support, Unite Africa Foundation.
The UK-based foundation was set up to sustain Tilinanu Orphanage in Malawi which it built from scratch in 2009 and which currently houses and educates 34 girls on a full-time basis as well as feeding 175 community orphans daily. It has also provided vaccinations for more than 70,000 people.
