The South Links Holiday Park in Montrose is in line for a major business boost.
Plans were approved for 57 additional caravans at the exquisite holiday park on Friday.
The popular tourist destination, which is situated on Traill Drive, has been incredibly busy for the past four years and the owners have said that the extra caravans will have a positive knock-on effect for the town.
Proprietor Bill McDonald said:: “By increasing the number of tourists we can take in here, there will be a ripple effect on the rest of the town and the buoyancy of the place.
“We have people coming from all over the world to stay with us.”
Under the new licence the caravan site, which spans 11 acres and currently has 129 pitches for holiday makers, will be able to welcome a total of 57 new caravans.
The change of licence has come just in time for the summer season as there has already been an influx of bookings.
The holiday park is fully booked for the Montrose Music Festival at the weekend and had to stop taking bookings a few days ago.
