THE MONTROSE Friday Night Project had three special visitors at the Borrowfield Community Centre last week.

Laura Kazcmarek from Laura’s Beauty Secrets, along with helpers Kerry and Nicki, delivered a pampering session to local girls as part of the Friday night joint initiative between Tayside Police, Community Learning and Development, YM Montrose, Links Park Community Trust and the Borrowfield Community Group.

The girls all had their hair done, nails painted and had glitter tattoos applied.

Laura, who provides a mobile beauty service specialising in pamper parties, said: “It was great fun helping out at The Friday Night Project. The girls were all so enthusiastic and we are looking forward to coming back in the New Year to help again.”

Community Officer Ally Hutchison also commented: “The project is growing and we had over 80 kids in attendance this week. Links Park Community Trust are running football coaching on the pitch next to the Community Centre every Friday night until December 21 and activities are on in the centre at the same time.

“This Friday the indoor activities will move to the YM for one week where more activities will be on offer. I would like to thank the ladies of the Borrowfield Community Group for providing an excellent tuck shop and to Craig Ferguson and Pete Davidson from Links Park Community Trust for their continued support.”
