Bryan Adams fans have been going crazy for the Canadian rocker’s Montrose concert with less than 20 per cent of tickets left.
With three months to go until this year’s Montrose Music Festival (MoFest), the festival’s chairman has revealed that ticket sales for Bryan Adams and Jools Holland are selling beyond initial expectations.
With less than 20 per cent of tickets still available for Bryan Adams’ only Scottish outdoor show this year in Montrose tickets are expected to sell out in a matter of weeks.
David Paton, chairman of MoFest, said: “We’ve had an absolutely amazing response to the headline acts for this year’s MoFest.
“We expect tickets to Bryan Adams’ show to sell out in the next few weeks, with tickets for Jools Holland not too far behind.”
Adams - famous for hits such as ‘Summer of 69’ and ‘(Everything I Do) I Do It for You’ - will take to the stage on Sunday, August 7 on Montrose’s East Links as part of his Get Up Tour of the UK.
Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra will kick off MoFest’s three-day live music event, on Friday, May 27 on the East Links, and will be joined by special guests, Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson and Pauline Black from The Selector and Ruby Turner.
David added: “This is MoFest’s ninth year and we have been overwhelmed by the public’s response to our superb line-up of live artists.
“To have sold so many tickets to see Bryan Adams and Jools Holland at this stage is a great position to be in, as we focus on preparing to deliver a MoFest to remember.”
Holland and Adams are the latest names to play in Montrose, following in the famous footsteps of Madness, Ash and Status Quo.
LCC Live, the concert promoters for Bryan Adams and Jools Holland, is working in partnership with MoFest to bring together all the elements for these shows and ensure “music fans have a night to remember”.
