Montrose Academy Home Economics Department recently held their school heat for the Future Chef Competition.
Budding chefs Maia Hughes and Rosie Barron in S3 impressed the judges with their professional manner to produce outstanding dishes.
Maia was crowned the overall winner and Rosie was runner up.
Maia will now work with former pupil and chef Aaron Neave and will go through to the next stage of the competition at Dundee and Angus College in January.
