A RELATIVELY new Ferryden business has found itself short-listed in the Scottish Wedding Awards 2013.

Fairytale Designs has been in existence for three years, and has gained considerable experience in transforming venues.

Gavin Watt and Emma Scott have a stock of chair covers and coloured sashes which can be applied to all the chairs at a reception.

Gavin said he believes they offer a unique service in matching the colours of the sashes to the bride and attendants’ dresses.

However, the nomination is for Fairytale Designs’ wedding stationery, all handmade and designed on a bespoke basis, to be unique to their clients.

Emma said: “It’s important for the invitations to be unique to the couple and their wedding as it’s normally the first hint for the guests as to the theme/colour scheme of the day. Our favourite time throughout the whole process is when our customers receive the finished order.”

Gavin and Emma have ‘dressed’ venues in many places in Scotland, and are also proud to have been chosen to supply sashes in the appropriate colour for the Rugby Union Christmas ball.

Gavin and Emma will know if they have won their category on April 22, at a ceremony at the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow.

Fairytale Designs appears to be the only Angus company nominated for an award.
