A £4000 donation has been donated to a cat charity to help towards vet bills.
Cats Protection Montrose and Brechin Branch received the £4000 donation from Support Adoption For Pets.
The charity, based in Brechin, work to re-home cats across the area. The rescue applied for help to support its neutering scheme. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to low-income cat owners to ensure their cats are neutered. The charity spent over £13,000 last year alone on vet bills.
Amy Wilson, Charity Manager at Support Adoption For Pets, said: “It is a real privilege to help an organisation that works so hard at rescuing and re-homing animals across Brechin. The work done is fantastic and they will now be able to provide veterinary care to even more animals.”
Support Adoption For Pets is an independent charity established by Pets at Home in 2006, since then it has helped over 950 re-homing centres and animal welfare organisations across the UK. In addition to its fundraising work it also runs dedicated adoption centres in nearly 400 Pets at Home stores.
