The Gable Ender Rangers Supporters Club have presented cheques on behalf of member Gavin Forbes, who is taking part in two charity cycle events. They were £500 for Headcase and £200 for Cancer Research UK. On August 4 Gavin will do a 100-mile cycle in London, following the Olympic road route for Cancer Research. This will be but a warm up for his main challenge! On September 22 he will head to Biarritz for Pedal-The-Pyrenees to raise funds for ‘Headcase Cancer’. He will cross the mountains in seven days, covering 441 miles, 100 uphill, reaching 12,000 metres above sea level, finishing at Collioure on the Med. The Headcase Charity researches brain tumours called Glioblastoma Multiform or GBM. After Gavin and his brother, Greig, lost their Dad to this, Gavin decided to raise awareness and collect funds.
