A CHARITY gig in aid of CHAS and local charities will be held at the Marykirk Village Hall on Friday, November 18.
The event has been organised jointly between Marykirk Raft Race Committee and the band which will be playing, Burlesque.
Burlesque are a six-piece pop and soul function band, founded in 2003. One of the highlights of their career was an appearance this year at The Yard during the Montrose Music Festival.
Burlesque is a collective of accomplished musicians from different generations and musical backgrounds, plus two young energetic and extremely talented female lead vocalists.
All of the musicians live in or around the area, and after their performance at The Yard gig, jungle drums have been pounding in and around Angus and the word is spreading about the fabulous atmosphere that Burlesque manage to create.
Burlesque use their combined talents to create a visual show that also fills the dance floor as they perform a great selection of songs from the sixties to the present day.To find out more about Burlesque visit www.badlogic.net/burlesque2 or call 01356 648840.
Tickets for the event are £10 and are available from The Hardware Store in Laurencekirk and the Hillside Hotel. The event will run from 8pm until 12 midnight.
