The Montrose Emergency Services Group (MESG) presented Aidan Thompson, a local youngster who suffers from a rare neurological disorder, with a cheque for £1,000.
The money was raised at the MESG and friends Christmas party bringing the total sum to £3,000 raised for Aidan’s Voice in 2014 by the group - their chosen charity for the year.
Members of the committee are pictured with Ethan and Craig Campbell of North East Music and Sports Events, who presented Aidan with a cheque for £300, which was raised at the recent Big Country concert when a signed copy of their ‘Steeltown’ album was raffled.
MESG chairman Ally Hutchison said: “The support of the local community has been overwhelming and testament to another fantastic sum being raised for a great local cause. The team would like to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
