Classic bus to ramble once more

AFTER a successful start to the season at Easter, The Angus Transport Group will be running their popular ‘Basin Rambler’ free bus service during the last two Sundays in June and the first two Sundays in August.

It will link some of the local tourist attractions around the Montrose area. The Classic 1980s period style service coach, a former Northern Scottish, Leyland Leopard with an iconic Alexander Y-type body, will ply a route calling at the Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre, the House of Dun and the Caledonian Steam Railway, at Bridge of Dun, via the High Street and the Montrose Railway Station.

This Service is operated by the Angus Transport Group, a voluntary force which owns, restores and maintains a small private collection of buses for use on special services such as the Basin Rambler or for display at local and national vehicle shows.

For more information on the Basin Rambler service and timetables, look out in the Montrose High Street and Railway Station Bus Stops, or check the website at
