Concern mounting for missing Montrose teenager

Police Scotland is becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of 16 year old

Montrose teenager missing since Sunday night.

Charlie Behan was reported missing from the Braehead area of Montrose at 7.45pm on Sunday, March 20.

Enquiries have now revealed that Charlie was seen at 9.30pm on Sunday evening walking towards Rossie Woods. He has been known to have frequented this area before.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have saw Charlie between these times.

Local residents are asked to check sheds, garages and outbuildings for any signs that someone might have taken refuges, either overnight or temporarily.

He is described as being five feet eight inches tall, of stocky build with short/red auburn hair. He was wearing a blue Adidas tracksuit top and bottoms and black and orange coloured trainers.

Specialist teams from Police Scotland including Operational Support Unit, Police Dogs Unit and Police Helicopter are continuing to search the areas of Montrose for any sign of Charlie. Local officers are also carrying out door to door enquiries and reviewing CCTV.

There are significant concerns for Charlie’s welfare and anyone who knows him of has seen him is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
