Conservation meeting

A PUBLIC meeting to discuss proposed changes to Montrose’s conservation area will be held tonight (Thursday) as part of Montrose Community Council’s monthly meeting.

The discussion has been organised as part of Angus Council’s public consultation process in the town, seeking views on suggested amendments.

A draft consultation document has been drawn up to identify the character and appearance of the conservation area and to provide design guidance in assessing any development plans or other changes.

A display of the draft consultation document is available to view in Montrose Library until Monday, February 21. A reference copy of the Montrose Conservation Area Analysis and Design Guide is also available to view on request at the library. A copy of the map and document can be obtained from County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar.

Those wishing to comment can visit the Have Your Say section of the Angus Council website at and the meeting will be held in the academy’s boardroom at 7pm.
