ANGUS Council is seeking views on a document outlining the big issues affecting the county and how it should develop over the next 20 years.
The Angus Local Development Plan Main Issues Report (MIR) provides an early opportunity to inform and shape the strategy and content of the new local development plan. The MIR sets out what Angus Council believes are the most important issues for the future development of land in the county.
It sets out a strategy and vision for the area and identifies where development should and should not go, and contains options for directions of growth in the seven burghs and four rural areas - Edzell, Friockheim, Letham and Newtyle.
Members of the public can view the documents, and leave comments, at www.angus.gov.uk/ldpmainissuesreport.
Alternatively comments can be e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or in writing to Local Development Plan Team, Planning and Transport Division, Angus Council, County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar, DD8 3LG.
The deadline for comments is January 4, 2013.
Display stands on the MIR will be in Montrose Libraries next month, between Monday, December 17, and Monday, December 31.
Officers from the development plan team will be on hand at the exhibitions every Monday from 11am to 2pm to answer questions.
Copies of the Main Issues Report, Environmental Report and supporting documents are available in all Angus Council libraries, mobile library, ACCESS offices, and council offices at County Buildings and Angus House, Forfar.
