A Polish couple who live in Montrose are appealing to the kind people of the town to look out for their beloved cat who went missing before Christmas.

The cat named Jendrek, which means Free Spirit, is a huge two-year-old entire male cat.

Arek Gallas and his partner Vanessa Kononovica were visibly upset and wanted to appeal to residents with sheds or outbuildings within seven miles of their Traill Terrace address. Arek said: “Jendrek is a proper tom, he is viscous but we love him.

He is happy lying around outside our house but he always comes in at night.

He was last seen on December 22. We have contacted the Cats Protection League who took a note of his details.

It could be he is being fed by a kind well-meaning person. ”

The cat has a striking coat pattern and is larger than most cats. Tom cats are prepared to travel up to seven miles following the scent of a female.

If anyone thinks they may have seen him they can contact the Montrose Review who will pass on the details to the couple. Contact us by emailing news@montrosereview.com or call 01674 679038
