Police Scotland is appealing for information after a male was assaulted in Montrose on Tuesday, March 21.

Police are trying to trace two males responsible for the serious assault, which took place at about 6pm on March 21.

A Police spokesperson said: “A male was assaulted by two males at the rear of Castle Street. The incident took place on a grass area between Castle Street and Provost Johnston Road.

“The suspects are described as being white European, aged 15-16, dressed in black matching tracksuits. One male is 5ft 6, slim build with short dark hair, the other is shorter of medium build with light brown hair.

“The injured male sustained broken ribs where he was repeatedly kicked and punched to the head and body.”
