A LADY walking her dogs at Montrose beach was shocked to be the victim of a violent verbal attack by a male, and horrified when the man kicked one of the dogs so hard it crashed into a rock.
The dog required pain-killers for the “substantial” blow on its side.
The incident happened at about lunchtime on April 5, and the lady said she had only just decided to go public in case anyone else became a victim of the man.
She told us: “Children walk dogs in that area and I would not want something like that to happen to them.
“I was walking near the golf courses when the man rose up, as if he had been waiting for us.
“I’d seen him a little earlier, and it was like he was trying to attract the dogs.
“It seemed that he hated dogs, and the people with them.”
A spokeswoman for Tayside Police told us: “Tayside Police can confirm they received a complaint and are continuing to make enquiries. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tayside Police on 0300 111 2222.”
