TAYSIDE Police have provided traffic advice for those attending the Glamis Jubilee celebrations on Sunday.
A spokesman said: “Gates are open from 10.30am onwards. A large volume of traffic is expected. In order to prevent congestion in the surrounding area, it is requested that traffic attending the event follows the travel routes provided.”
For those travelling from Montrose or Forfar this means the following:
From the A90, follow signage onto A94 (Coupar Angus road) towards Glamis
Travel along A94 to Glamis village
Follow event signage into the event
The spokesman continued: “Would all drivers please use the event car parks within the castle grounds as a ‘No Parking’ plan will be in place in Glamis village.
“Due to the volume of vehicles, some delays are expected when leaving the castle grounds. Police Officers and stewards will actively manage queues in order to have vehicles exit the area as quickly and efficiently as possible. The patience and consideration of drivers attending the event will be greatly appreciated.”
