More than £9500 worth of drugs has been seized within the last week in Tayside in a series of raids as part of Operation Slate.

Officers have successfully seized a quantity of Class A, B and C drugs from a number of domestic properties across Dundee, Angus and Perth and Kinross, resulting in 11 people being charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective Inspector Paul Riley said: “Those apprehended as part of an intelligence led operation again highlights Tayside Division’s determination to arrest those people who choose to peddle drugs within our communities.

“Drug dealing brings misery upon individuals and families within our neighbourhoods and we want to make their efforts to profit from this harmful and illegal trade as difficult as possible.

“The public can assist us in our fight against drugs and drug dealers. Anyone who has information that could assist Police Scotland in taking another drug dealer off of our streets should call us on 101. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
