Local crime appeals

TAYSIDE police have issued appeals for information after several instances of vandalism and theft in the town.

Several vehicles were scratched with a sharp implement while they were parked in John Street on Wednesday, September 28 and witnesses to an incident in North Street on Saturday, October 1 are also being sought. Two large bricks were thrown at a house window, causing about £150-worth of damage.

A yellow Seat Leon car was targeted by vandals some time overnight on Friday, September 30 when one of its windows was broken while it was parked on the High Street, near to Dorothy Perkins. At around midnight on Saturday, October 8, the side windows of a DAF lorry were smashed while it was parked on a side road leading to Lidl’s supermarket.

Lead flashing and a copper boiler were also stolen from Sunnyside Hospital some time Between 6pm on Monday, September 19 and 7.45am the following day.
