Two women have been charged following an alleged incident at a Brechin care home earlier this year.
The alleged incident took place at Bearehill Care Home in Brechin, between Monday, October 26 and Thursday, December 17.
The women, aged 30 and 38-years-old, were charged following an adult protection investigation by Police Scotland and other agencies.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that two women, aged 38 and 30-years-old, have been charged in connection with an incident at a residential home in Brechin that happened between Monday October 26 and Thursday December 17. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A spokesperson for Bearehill commented: “The company’s regional management team is co-operating with police enquiries after members of staff raised concerns. Two care workers have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. This is our normal precautionary procedure when an investigation is ongoing. It would be inappropriate to comment further ahead of the outcome of the investigation.”
