THERE are only a few more days for exceptional young people in the area to be nominated for a £1,000 prize.
BNI (Business Network International) Nexus is looking to recognise young people in Angus and the Mearns aged 16 to 25 who have demonstrated excellence in any way. Nominations, which should be submitted by this Monday, October 31, can be made by family, friends, members of the public and employers.
The five categories for the Nexus Young Achiever of the Year are Volunteer, Carer, Employee, Hero and Courage.
Nominations will also be considered for people whose achievement does not fall neatly into any of those categories.
What matters is that they should have achieved something truly outstanding, whether at work, by volunteering or caring for someone, or through their courage in adversity or danger.
Nominations can be made to Nexus Young Achiever of the Year Award committee chairwoman Tomlinson on 01674 677270/07749 827812 or by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Forms are also available on the group’s Facebook page.
