Runrig legend Donnie Munro’s gig in Montrose next month is set to bring the area a mini economic boost, say the concert organisers.
Munro, who shot to fame as lead singer of Runrig, is still extremely popular worldwide and particularly in Germany with a large contingent of his fans making the trip to Scotland for his Montrose gig.
Tickets for the concert, organised by North East Musical and Sports Promotions, have also found there way to the USA, as well as all over the UK.
The main support on the night will be Stonehaven native Colin Clyne, who is tipped to hit the very top with his band the Carrons.
Opening the night will be pipe rockers Gleadraich, who have recently played with Queen and Texas.
Donnie Munro is set to take to the stage at Montrose Town Hall for a special Valentine’s Day acoustic concert on Saturday, February 14.
