Dredging will take place at Montrose Harbour from Friday.
The work will be undertaken in the inner harbour and navigation channel and dredger Shearwater will be making regular trips to Lunan Bay and Montrose Beach, near to the golf course.
Captain Brian Forrest, Harbour Master, said: “Mariners are requested to navigate with caution and give the dredger Shearwater as wide a berth as possible at all times.
“The dredger will make regular trips to Lunan Bay and a number of trips to the beach near to the Golf Links.
“Regular dredging signals will be exhibited day and night by the dredger.
“Vessels entering/leaving the port are to contact Port Control on Channel 12 for instructions.”
